Is a two-week Europe trip enough time for London, Paris, and Rome?

I am currently planning my first big trip to Europe and I am trying to decide if I can realistically fit London, Paris, and Rome into a 14-day itinerary. I really want to see the main highlights in each city, but I am worried that spending so much time on trains and at airports will burn me out. Does anyone have experience with this specific route, or should I drop one city to have a more relaxed pace? I would love to hear your thoughts on whether this feels too rushed for a two-week vacation.

It is definitely doable, but you have to be disciplined. Don't try to see every single museum; pick two big sights per day and just enjoy the vibe.

Honestly, 14 days for three major cities is my personal limit. Any less and you're just living in train stations.

I agree with the previous comment. I did this exact route in 12 days once and I felt like I needed a vacation from my vacation when I got home.

If I were you, I would drop one. You'll spend at least half a day traveling between each city, which eats into your sightseeing time significantly.

Don't listen to the people saying it's too much! If you book flights/trains early and stay central, you can absolutely make it work.

London and Paris are so close via the Eurostar that they make perfect sense together. Rome is the outlier that adds a lot of travel time.

My advice: stick to two cities. You'll actually have time to sit in a cafe for two hours without feeling guilty, which is the best part of Europe.

Is it rushed? Yes. Is it worth it for a first trip? Also yes. You want to see the main hits, and this itinerary covers them all.

Make sure you factor in the time it takes to get to/from airports. It’s not just the flight time, it’s the two hours before and the transit into the city center.

I did London, Paris, and Rome in 14 days last summer. It was exhausting but I have no regrets. Just pace yourself.

Have you considered taking a night train to save time? It can be a hit or miss experience, but it saves you a day of travel.

The key is to spend at least 4 nights in each city. Anything less than that and you're just unpacking and repacking your suitcase constantly.

Totally agree with the 4-night rule. If you can't manage that, just pick two cities and really explore them.

I think you're overthinking it. It's your first trip, just go and have fun. Even if you're tired, you'll be seeing amazing things.

Whatever you decide, book your attraction tickets in advance. Waiting in line for the Colosseum or the Louvre will kill your schedule faster than the travel itself.
